Yes, Niagara Falls got very little snow. Once he was able to drive
(with difficulty) on the local streets, my son (who lives in East
Amherst near Ali) ended up driving to Niagara Falls to get gas for his
generator. He thought he was smart buying a generator for the new house
after suffering through a long power outage on the previous house some
years ago. Unfortunately, he hadn't filled his three 5 gallon gas tanks
yet and the brand new water powered backup sump pump proved to have
insufficient capacity to keep the sump level from very slowly rising
until it got above the floor level and soaked part of the carpet.
