Something I added to Mark's website.
Here is a simple protection/low voltage adapter you can build into or between
the qa310 flash (or
any hi voltage flash) to make the hotshoe low voltage(<6v):

Cost is less than $3 us.
note: if you use the remote sensor, adding this to the main flash hotshoe, does
not change
whatever voltage is on the sensor unit's shoe, unless you added this circuit
inside it as well. I
don't know what voltage is on remote sensor trigger pin, since I don't own one.
