I do sense a bit of backtracking on that since their initial
announcement. It is possible that there is one or two grams of
common-sense left.

I'm hardly JUMPing to anything. By displaying a block of wood,
they bought themselves an infinite amount of time for a hazy
promise that they'll take care of the professional's needs. I
can understand not talking about specs, but you have to admit,
this was pretty thin.
I am thankful they showed something, but it was a double-whammy
when there isn't any realistic hope of a E-3 in our immediate
future AND the E-400 was being excluded from the USA market.
