Well, they're already calling it the Flood of 2006 here in Kentucky. We've been
hit with torrential downpours with even more severe weather heading our
way. We've had six deaths so far with a possibility of tornadoes coming in. I've
been lucky so far and only my garage has been flooded. Others have lost
everything. I went to my local used camera shop today and his shop is soaked.
He's not sure if it is his roof or a water pipe. I hate to see this happen as
he has all kinds of used gear that the dampness will no doubt ruin. I rescued
an OM-PC to add to my collection.
I took a drive around to get some pictures but stayed away from any area where
peoples homes had been affected. The last thing they need is having people
gawking and impeding recovery efforts. I got a shot of a once peacefull creek
running over its banks taking a dumpster with it. Its not sharp as I grabbed a
shot as the rain was starting again and my E-500 wouldn't like it.

I guess I'll have something for the next TOPE though..
