I was just now playing around with the clone tool and finally figured
out a problem I was having... I'm almost embarrassed to admit this. I
gave up on this tool almost a year ago because I just couldn't get the
darn thing to work right and out of laziness, never picked up Adobe
Photoshop for Photographers, which is sitting right on my desk, to find
out why. I was happy enough just to use the healing brush tool for all
of my needed corrections. Today is a new day so I looked in the index,
found my way to the clone tool and discovered I had the clone tool mode
setting on "difference" instead of "normal". Like duh, darn computer
stuff. Where's my darkroom! And someone please tell me why I can't
dodge an area in an image on my monitor while printing to my i960 when I
fold my hands into all kinds of weird shapes and place them over the
area to be dodged on the monitor and jiggle them around a bit? :)
