I did not say it did not happen at all. It may be for small or
failing manufacturer like Minolta, as I said. I remember the famous
Tokina lens that was purchased from Angenieux. I would still be very
surprised by a Nikon or Canon having its lenses designed and built by
Tamron or having a Tamron lens repackaged for them with their
identifying marks.
