That just lets the shutter run "free" and should give you about 1/60
sec.
You can do the same on the OM-2 but it's a two step process. Press
shutter,
let the mirror go up, release shutter, move to bulb setting. The 2n
moved
this function to the check/reset switch position to make it more
convenient.
Also, I would not advise holding the switch in the reset position since
it
places a lot of stress on the lever. The lever is made of plastic and
is
easily broken. Use it only for momentarily checking the battery and
resetting the shutter.
