The number of moose in Yellowstone Park has been way down too and nobody
knows why. There is no evidence that it is due to wolves. I've seen three
there this year so maybe they're coming back. The moose population is
dropping some here (Island Park) too but there are still a lot of them.

The moose count is way down on Isle Royale this year. Something
like 300 for the entire set of islands. It was pretty slim
pickings for us.
Washington Creek (on Isle Royale) is usually a moose
superhighway.
