Interesting that you say that since I've never, ever used my BG-2 with
batteries in it. Your statement about improved recycle times aren't
supported by the BG-2's spec sheet. Can't even try it now since C
batteries are rarely found in this house. I should probably sell my
BG-2 since I tend to use a Stroboframe and an external Quantum
compatible high voltage power pack. That does give me recyle times of
about 1-1/2 seconds
Ooops! Light bulb suddenly flashes over brain. Since the BG-2 power
connection is the same as I use for my high voltage power pack does that
mean that there's electronics in the BG-2 that's stepping up the voltage
of those four C batteries to 330 volts? It would seem that that must be
so but then I don't understand why the recycle time specs for the BG-2
aren't any faster than the T-32 without the BG-2. Well, that's not
strictly true. The T-32 manual says 0.2-10 seconds and the BG-2 says
0.2-9 seconds.
