Hello all, so I finally bought myself an OM-32 and BG-2 which I had
been wanting for several years. When I loaded the OM-32 with 4 NiMH
cells and first flipped on the switch there was a poof of smoke, the
unmistakable smell of charred electronics, and a hot spot on a side
underneath the flash. However, the flash appears to be working fine
now. I took a roll of test shots on slide film testing out the manual
exposure, normal auto, and TTL functions, recording what I did.
So until I get those back, do you think that something was permanentaly
damaged? I still have time with Adorama's return policy to send it
back. But I suppose that if the shots look alright, then the flash is
ok?
Interested in your thoughts,
Marten
