Hi Khen,
The Friendliest camera store around here is E*ay or Yabe as they say oround
here..I've been searching there for the last hour or so.. looking at lighting
stands, filters, flash units to build the strobe flashes on the stands.. I
kinda like that better than the 120 volt.. a little more portable..take it to
the park...
Local camera stores have pretty girls that sell shiny things.. kinda like a
magpie... pretty, but they make no sense when they open their beaks..
I get deer in headlights looks when I pull out a piece of paper and ask a
serious question... Which is why I am on this list..
ok.. now I went over this EV thing in the dummies book yesterday, or was that
in an email... AARRGHH!!!! I cant remember....Ali.. is this one of those
Zuikoholic things.. ???
Good thing for list archives.. I regularly go back to the website and read past
emails..
Cheers.. Tim

Try it at your friendly camera store first to see if it does what you're
happy with. Do remember there are two types of POL filters - the linear
(standard) POL and the CIRC (circular) POL. Get the latter for spot-metering
cameras. If you're using the OM-1 or OM-2, the linear polariser will do the
trick.
I don't have anything to back up my claim but from my observations, the
linear polariser's effects are more dramatic.
OH I NEARLY FORGOT!
OK, Tim and CANDACE
When you use POL filters, expect a drop of around -1.5EV. So if you use the
filter on relatively slow zooms, slow shutter speeds might result.
Truly sorry that I didn't remember this earlier....
