Where have you been, James?  Obviously not reading all the OT threads 
that have addressed most of your questions over the past year.  :-)

Yes, expensive adapter can be had for $175 from CameraQuest or for as 
little as $20-30 on the bay.  There's both good and bad quality 
available.  Just avoid the aluminum ones and buy stainless steel (if you 
can find it) or chrome plated brass.  Make sure the adapter has a stop 
down pin for the OM lenses.

Yes, but you may have to calibrate a particular lens.  The accuracy of 
the metering may depend on lens, metering mode and aperture.  Moose can 
answer this better than me since I almost never use anything but an 
external meter.  Strange, my 5D has a spot meter and I've never even 
turned it on yet.

No

Very.  Just no autofocus or diaphragm automation.  Kind of like the 
shift lenses.

Other than money there aren't any.  The 5D is a superior imaging instrument.

It does but requires a short extension tube between body and bellows to 
clear the prism hump on the front of the Canon body.
