1. Dig it out with a weeding tool (I break them annually in my
feverish anti-Bindweek activity).
2. To reduce deterioration from the wet and to keep it working
properly (yes, it is alloy, so it won't rust :-))
3. I meant 50mm. It's bad for the chickens to have it too long,
apparently.
