The OM Four Thirds adapter leaflet does mention that "Spot metering mode does
not work properly". Why, I don't know. Perhaps the lens and body need to
communicate for the spot metering to work. Maybe it does work only at the
maximum aperture, because that's what the camera thinks is set when no other
info is provided by the lens. You did your tests at f/5.6, maybe at f/2.8 it
would work?
I just did a quick test with the 85/2: in A mode, the speed was 1/250 at f/2,
and this did not change until f/5.6. That would correspond to the 2 stops
difference you mention. But starting at f/8, the speeds decreases (1/60 etc.),
so things are more complicated...
Too bad though.
