Has anybody been using an incident light meter in combination
with shooting digital? I've been attempting to "calibrate" my
methodology and haven't quite been able to square up my readings
with what I'm seeing with histograms.
It sounds like a good topic for wilderness adventure evening discussions
while the wolves howl in the background, frigid Lake Superior winds whip
through
the screened shelters, we try to remember what a Big Mac taste like ( in my
case it will be a What-A-Burger) and if it is raining, we will be trying to
figure out who came up with the bright idea for this adventure.
In answer to your question: Not really. I will however be metering my 6 X
18 pinhole photographs with a Pentax digital spot meter, so I guess one could
spend their time investigating that question . . . or not. Should I bring
the laptop so we can chart our results in Excel? Don't think I'll bring it
even if we do have a Sherpa.
It is near my turn to have the Odyssey camera. Wonder if anyone would let
me jump in front of them and take the Odyssey camera on our post labor day
adventure. It could then be used by 4 list members in one week for capturing
their Odyssey images.
