Hi Scott,
Oh, the timing of the taking of a photograph!...
It is one of the most crucial elements, especially in street
photography... And one thing which reminds me that, despite all our
preparation and equipment, and despite our difficulty to admit it, a
little bit of luck, that little bit which is out of our control, is
the sweet medicine of good photography.. and very often the precious
complimentary of anticipation.
Here I was in the right time at the right place. The 'decisive moment'
clicked immediately inside me, from the moment I noticed them sitting
there, especially her. And for not disturbing anything I pointed my
lens towards the statue and avoided eye-contact with them, as I was
approaching closer.. Gladly I had a wide-angled lens on the camera and
could include them in the frame. Mind you, though, that this is a
substantial crop of the original frame. It is, however, one of my most
favourite shots!
