Well, I've been so overcome with jealousy at all the fine photos posted for
perusal, that I added an Olympus gallery to my web site for the express
purpose of throwing up the occasional pic. The first offering is from a
couple of hours ago, when I spent some time with the trusty E-1 stalking
Monarch butterflies. They're quick little bastards, and they don't sit still
for long. I even saw some Monarch sex, at least I think it was Monarch sex.
It might have been a fight to the death down deep in the weeds where I
couldn't get a good angle for a shot. But a few minutes later I could find
no corpse, so I'm guessing it was sex.
You gotta love that DZ 50-200. Particulars are posted with the shot, but I
think it turned out pretty crisp for handheld without benefit of flash, even
if I do say so myself. Of course it ain't Walt's cat, but . . .
