I don't have an FC-50 to test with, but I bet the FC-50 uses the Turbo's
330V only for the flash tubes. If you use an Olympus SHV-1 battery pack
then then modeling lights would probably be powered by the SHV-1 since
it also provides the 6V low voltage power for the flash circuits. It's
too bad Quantum was too cheap to put in a 9V to 6V regulator in the cable
so that the FL-50/FC-50 can run without batteries. Then you would be able
to power your modeling lights from the Turbo.
