I too find it fascinating as I've been noodling the thought of
getting an E-3xx. It seems that there is just something about
the entire aspect of the E-1 that just transcends pixels.
Reading how others are discovering this unique quality of the
E-1 coming from "superior technology" is interesting.
Speaking of such, the other day I was doing a senior portrait
session when it struck me how different life is than when I shot
film. I take more chances and really push the frame count
"because I can". I don't understand those who claim that the
E-1 is woefully inadequate for professional use. Maybe I'm
blissfully ignorant of what the great and mighty Canon can do
for me, but compared to where I came from, I'm more than tickled
with how it does the job.
Talk about a challenge, though. White shirt, black car, bright
sunshine. I'm very thankful for the wide exposure latitude of
the E-1.
