Just out of curiosity, why are you interested in the 24/2.8?
At the moment I'm looking out for a cheap second-hand 200 zoom, or a 300 or
400 reflex. At the very minimum I need to replace the Tokina 80-200 zoom which
now has a jammed aperture (as in, stuck fully open, won't close).
The Zuiko 65-200/4 looks nice, but covers a bit too wide a range for my
liking. I've got a Zuiko 35-105/4 at the moment, so I'm really looking out for
something that covers the 100-200 range, and maybe a 300 reflex to go with that.
Agh! I shouldn't be thinking about buying more stuff, especially after I just
blew £175 on a film scanner (a Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual IV). Ah, the life of a
student, such fun. Especially when you've been rejected for jobs at all the
supermarkets, and most of the big chain stores. Even my computer repair /
software development business seems to be going down like the Titanic. Haven't
had any work since January :(
But such is life. As long as my OM4 still works and I've got a fiver spare to
get the resulting film developed, I'll be happy :)
