The spools that the standard 8mm film was sold on were about 2x2 minutes.
The russian camera I had (and still have, actually) was filming at 16 or
18 fps if I recall correctly.
I didn't have proper film reels myself, so I used magnetic tape reels,
those were approximately the same size as your 125mm reels. I never filmed
enough to fill an entire reel but it would definitely take several of
those spools the cameras are loaded with. So, I'd guess about 10-15
minutes?
