The bear about Antelope Canyon is not so much the tourists IN the canyon as
the ones walking ABOVE it, where you're not supposed to be. Them peoples
walking along the crack over your head drops a LOT of sand down on top of
photographers & cameras.

The light shafts are hard to miss if you're there at the right
time. :-) The problem is that there will be lots of other people
there at that same time and 90% of them will be tourists just walking
through instead of serious photographers. The flashes going off and
people walking into and out of the frame can be somewhat of a problem
when you're shooting multi-second exposures. I will say though that
the majority of people were very courteous and didn't intentionally
do things that would mess up a shot.
