My first shotgun, which I got for Christmas when I was about 9 or 10, was a
bolt action, tubular feed, 6-shot J.C. Higgins .410. Good little squirrel and
rabbit gun for a young hunter. And my nickname -- no kidding -- was what some
here would probably expect: Cooter.
