I have NO doubt re the better education. Every day on the way to the office
I get to pass a little pastry shop with a large sign out in front saying
"Joes Donut's". Makes me crazy.
I initially thought that this was Olaf being Olaf, responding to the
previous apostrophe abuse thread. :)

It's the typeface, Dave; they're not apostrophes.
And I think that you'll find that people brought up on the Continent
of Europe have a far, far better education in languages (several,
including English) than native English-speakers.
