Congrats on the 50-200 and 1.4X TC. As we say hereabouts, "Ya done good." The
lens gets to be a big'un at 200mm, but it's a good'un, too, although I took
some test shots a while back with it and an old, foggy-bottomed 65-200/4 Zuiko
and couldn't tell much difference. In fact, a couple of folks -- Brian Swale,
for one -- thought the old Zuiko's shot was more better. But it don't do that
cool auto focus trick.
As for the laptop, it's mainly an overheating problem because of a dead fan, so
despite the fact it's nearly four years old, it's probably worth getting fixed.
