Manual lenses have no way of communicating with the host body what
aperture they're at. No electronics. 'Dumb'.

Subject: [OM] Using Zuiko MF lens on E-500
I just received a Zuiko 50mm F3.5 macro lens and used it extensively on
my E-500. I used this in manual mode because I used a T-32 flash also. I
noticed that the shutter speed was displayed but no aperture. Is this
because the camera is in manual mode with a manual lens? I want to make
sure this is normal. I have used other manual lenses in the past but
never in M mode and honestly never noticed this before. I am becoming
more aware of the camera's features and also more creative in general,
thus I am opening up to
FULL Manual
mode.
BTW the T-32 works great with the E-500, I dont think I am going to get
another
flash.
Thanks.
