The 422D has interchangeable feet. The standard (STD-1D) foot has only
a single contact and thus no TTL. I recently bought two STD-1D feet for
$10 apiece on ebay. The Sunpak 383 (which you can buy new at B&H for
$79) is functionally the same as a 422D with the STD-1D foot.
