I use a dc-ac inverter under the seat, plugged into the cigarette
lighter. Gives me two standard 110vac outlets.
What it means is that there isn't a separate video card with it's own
memory - the video processor shares main system ram, dynamically taking
what it needs from the common pool. This is cheaper to do, but at the
cost of video performance. The Pro has a dedicated GPU (graphics
processing unit) with dedicated video ram, so OSX will offload graphics
tasks to the GPU, leaving full system ram and full processor cycles
available for non-graphics tasks.
