But highwaywoman doesn't object to highwayman taking pictures of the occasional
strangewoman, or strangewomen, because she knows just when to jerk the leash,
and doesn't hesitate to do so. The peril for the Odyssey OM-1 would be if I
should misread a curve, sail off into the ether, bounce off a half dozen trees,
and land wheels-up in a creek at the bottom of a 200-foot gorge. Who would
know that the probably surviving OM-1n is scheduled to go on to Gary the day
after Memorial Day? The first on the scene would be much more interested in
what SSR parts might be salvagable. :-[
And since I'll be driving, I probably ought not be trying to take pictures.
But then again, why not? Everything's an adventure when you're old enough to
fear dying less with each passing day, particularly as long as it's sudden and,
hopefully, spectacularly violent.
Our most common last words in these parts: "Hey, y'all, watch this!"
