You might consider (in future, when it's important) just bidding
anyway. Some sellers are unaware of this nonsense and will accept
when you point out your long verified membership and transaction
rating. Claim that you weren't aware or that its never been a problem
before.
However, we are charged more and denied the level of protection of
those with confirmed addresses - obviously PP is not working too hard
to fix it as it would increase their level of exposure in their
transaction protection cover.
