As I mentioned previously, I do actually appreciate the E-1's
dinky viewfinder for action stuff. In this type of application
you're most concerned with framing--everything else is
automated.
But the thought of a full-frame or even a sufficiently magnified
viewfinder that gives me that OM like feeling would certainly be
desirable. But getting a 5D or 1Ds may or may not be in my
future...
I like getting good bargains. In fact, just this week I bought
a terrific Yamahaa digital audio recorder/mixer/workstation that
is just three or so years old and cost the original owner almost
4X what I paid for it. Not only does it fit my needs, but was
about the same price as I would have paid for a dumb analog
mixer anyway. So now I'm back in the audio production biz
again. Funny/sad thing is the previous owner used it very little
and it probably cost him $200 per hour in actual usage.
Inotherwords, when the 5Dm2Ni comes out the 5D should be just
about the right price for me to scarf one up.
