So more innovation from Kodak---another dual lens -- mini 38-380! They are
making a nice effort--hope they do well. My brother purchased the WA version
V570 with which I had an opportunity to play when we met at our parent's home
in Niagara Falls. His landscapes from Provence were richly detailed with
little evidence of linear distortion at 23mm. There is some type of in camera
correction. I was not accustomed to the aperture settings when I looked at
the EXIF files. I guess the hyperfocal distance must be right in front of the
lens at many fl with these tiny sensors despite the wide apertures. The sweet
spots of the lenses must be different as well than most of my OM lenses. I must
not get out enough.
There were some weird defaults in automatic mode with shutter speeds impossible
to hand hold at low light. At high ISO-800, the highest res setting was
unavailable and the pics were noisy. There was no raw support. The movies
actually were not bad. Overall alot of camera in a very small package. I
doubt as good as the F11 in low light, though the pics were impressive
overall.
