Faced with the same problem, I went to the craft store, A.C. Moore, and
wandered the store looking for a solution. I found a 6 pack of small
plastic containers for about $2.00. Each is about 2 x 2 x 2-1/2" and
can hold two Li-ion camera batteries or 8-10 AA batteries. I use them
for both types of batteries plus other odds and ends. Here's a picture.
