I'm suffering from computer meltdown, so I only have a moment. I just this
morning ordered the new Dell super computer, and now I'm struggling on with a
crippled laptop, which will run for about 20 minutes before the fans go crazy
and it overheats and everything ... just ... goes ... jerky ... and ... really
... slow. Since I'll have to set up a new computer sometime next week, then
install software for many days thereafter, I'm not going to be posting much of
anything here for some time.
But I had to weigh in on this: The E-1 has a dedicated DOF button. I use it
often.
And rumors of focusing problems, particularly with the E-330 and long lenses,
are greatly exaggerated. I think it's folks who don't know what they're doing.
I've got both my E-1 and E-330 set to use only the central focus point, and if
folks are weak and shaky and wobbly and wave the thing around, it's constantly
trying to focus on stuff at different distances.
Fans getting angry now. Gotta go.
Oh, by the way, Evan: Welcome back, neighbor.
