Just joshin' bud. I'm really in no position to talk, with one Can*n DSLR
and two OM to EOS adapters, so I don't have to juggle adapters.

My older Can*n FS2710 scanner was SCSI and the software and drivers
weren't workable on XP. The generic intermediate layer for old SCSI on
XP (ASPI?) took care of that and VueScan, which I was already using,
went right on working with it on XP. In fact, it was on the VueScan site
that the I found the link to ASPI, or whatever it's called, which made
the old SCSI card trasnparently visible on XP without special drivers -
magic.
