Same song, second verse. After visiting a couple of local "builders," I've
decided just to go with Dell. I've made a couple of changes from the system I
listed previously based on the profoundly elucidating advice and counsel I
received from this august group.
My aging laptop suddenly is acting quirky, perhaps now realizing it's soon to
be semi-retired, and I'm hoping it doesn't blow up before I can post this and
get at least one or two replies, whether yea, nay, or "go to hell." Unless
somebody fires a seriously meaningful warning shot across my bow within the
next 48 hours, I'm pulling the trigger on this one, the relevant bits and
pieces of which are thus:
