Talk about feeling like an idiot,
I once was walking on some ice on the Merrimac river in Lowell, MA.
I was a few feet from the shore, had an OM-4t and 65-200 zoom lens
plus a couple of other lenses in the bag. All of a sudden, I stepped
on a soft spot and went in, camera and all. I had to walk back to work
with wet pants for 2 miles, froze my butt. I got back to the lab and put
my camera and lenses into a temperature chamber and set the
temperature to about 125F to bake for a while. Gear turned out fine
but I felt silly a walking around with wet pants. I hid in my cubicle
for as long as possible. i think the 75-150 was a bit foggy after that.
