CH often complains of Canon plastic skin as his reason for abandoning
the 10D and choosing the E-1. I think we have much different eyes as I
simply don't see plastic skin. Here are some 5D and 20D sample images
of the conductor and musicians of the Boston Classical Orchestra shot at
a recent dress rehearsal in Faneuil Hall in Boston.
All of the images are in natural window light. The 20D images tend to
be up close since it was wearing a 70-200/2.8. The 5D images are not so
close since it was wearing a 28-70/2.8. The images were shot in raw
mode with the cameras set to automatic white balance. I shot all of
these images but didn't do the raw conversion to JPEG. As far as I know
all are converted using the white balance as determined by the camera
with only a bit of a tweak here or there on exposure.
