My first explanation was in Ian Fleming's 'Dr No' where the
beautiful, naked girl emerging from the sea in front of Mr Bond has a
slightly broken nose and that makes her quite perfect.
Of course, when they made the movie dammit they squibbed that one AND
put her in a bikini.
