I haven't tried the Mamiya but I do miss my Fuji 85mm for the same reason as
you Scott. The Fuji had to find a new home when I got my E-1 :(

The Mamiya is the best SF lens I ever used. It created an effect that was
soft w/o obscuring details. I continue to be on the look-out for one at a
give-away price to justify having one again.
