BTW, I think Olympus runs the tightest ship in the product
introduction business. Historically, the closer to the actual
announcement, the quieter things get. The near-total silence
has to mean something. Not until one-week prior to the
announcement are things "leaked". It wouldn't suprise me if
they've been holding out for Canon to announce first so they
don't get stuffed by them again.
Who among us wasn't floored by the early replacement of the
E-300 by the E-500 and then again getting blindsided by the
E-330? While we're looking for 1DSMII killer to be announced,
they slip in these cool "gotta have em" cameras that will just
sell like hotcakes.
Me? I'm holding out till I've sold off the darkroom anyway, but
I'm going to get at least the E-330 if the new E-x doesn't have
a live monitor.
