Yeah - Vegemite looks, smells and tastes like something that oozed
out of a sulphurous geological vent. Primordial slime.

It really should rhyme with Vegemite. A world's natural wonder with a

Of course, and at the risk of upsetting list members Downunder, Vegemite is
a knock off of Marmite. Vegemite doesn't have the kick of the real thing,
though it will do in a pinch. Now, Marmite normally generates extreme
reactions: really love or hate. I love the stuff, and bring it back in bulk
everytime I visit the UK.
I'm sure some of you know that Marmite was "invented" to use up the huge
quantities of used yeast from beer brewing in Northern England. Marmite
celebrated its Centenary a year or two ago.
