Yes, that's how you have to do it with all OM mount bodies - except -
the OM2000. The OM2000 isn't really an Oly body, having been made by
Cosina. It isn't really an OM system body either, as it doesn't work
with a number of parts of the system. It does work with OM mount lenses,
extention tubes, etc..
In common with other related Cosina made bodies for other brands/mounts,
it has a true double exposure feature where the shutter may be rewound
without engaging the film wind, so registry is always perfect. It also
has flash sync at 1/125 sec. the highest of any OM mount body.
Actually a nice little body, all mechanical, all manual, with coupled
spot metering. Nice finish too, as was discussed a bit ago. Because it
has a vertical travel metal shutter and mirror/aperture prefire with the
self-timer, Gary used it a bit in testing vibration problems with some
mid-zoom lenses. It was about the same as OM-4 in that regard, vertical
vs. horizontal didn't seem to make much difference, but both were much
better than the other OM bodies without mirror/aperture prefire..
I have one I'd be willing to part with. Drop me a line off list if
interested.
