FWIW I have a program folder on my desktop, as yet un-opened and
un-used, called DNG Recover Edges Win.zip. I downloaded it from a
link given on Luminous Landscape
<http://www.luminous-landscape.com/contents/DNG-Recover-Edges.shtml>
and it's a utility to extract those missing pixels around the edges.
It operates on DNG raw files so you have to convert to dng first.
