Yes - I was surprised too. I tried a 50/3.5 OM Macro (not fair, I
know) and it was very sharp so it's not the chip.
Borrowed an 11-22mm today for half-an-hour but haven't checked
results yet.
Whatever else, the 330 is a great camera to handle and shoot.
