Mate of mine married a Tangam girl and wasn't allowed to live there
until he could spell it.
The scary thing is that after a while, they just roll off the tongue
without a problem.
They are preferable to some of the imposed European names, which
reflected the despair of pioneers. There's a report of a fire at Mt.
Misery this morning. Then there's the old favorites, Mt.
Disappointment and Mt. Buggery. No Capes of Good Hope around here -
Shark Bay, Wreck Bay and Cape Despair sums it up.
