I am kind of surprised by this thread. I never had an vignetting issues
with the 24mm, oly filters, and hood. I regularly use a 49mm oly c.pol with
my 21mm with no issues. Also, standard heliopan filters marked "slim" are
the same thickness as oly filters. Since almost all of my filters are 55mm,
I regularly use a 49-55mm step up ring with no problem. The B+W wide
filters are nice. I don't think B+W makes a polarizer in their wide models.

not so in my experience: to avoid vignetting with my 24mm/f2.8 I have always
used a 49-72 step up ring. Anything less than a 49-72 step up has been a
problem.
