With ColorVision ColorPlus, Panatone's entry level calibration tool,
contrast level is set at 100% and then you are instructed to set the
brightness level manually until you can see a slight difference between two
dark boxes. I achieved this with a brightness setting of 98%. A luminance
reading is then taken, a numeric value is shown and for optimal results, one
should fall into the range of 85-95. The color correction process from then
on is automated.
