I'll have to look back through my emails. I don't have that kit with me today, so I can't even tell you what the SN is. The 100/2.8 underwent numerous changes. The earliest ones are quite sharp in the center but fall off quite rapidly towards the corners. The last ones are sharp edge-to-edge, but not quite as sharp in the center as the earlier versions. The middle ranges had incremental changes as well as additional coatings--but still no green reflection. The aperture blades changed design at some point, with the earlier design offering a very unique combination of excessive sharpness with a slight gaussian blur to the image. Personally, I don't think there's a dog in the bunch. I'd probably stay away from the oldest ones because of colorcast and flare. AG __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
