Probably not as slow as you want us to believe. You no doubt had many years
of practise focusing them old Zuiko's by hand. :)
Back to the Zuiko 300/4.5, if Olympus brought out the exact same

I always wanted one but couldn't find a used one within my affordability
range at the time. I ended up settling for a used 85-250/5. I've regretted
my decision not to wait even though the 85-250 isn't all that bad.
